Well it’s been another great year and as usual, time has flown by. The year started off with low inventory, which resulted in a flurry of multiple offers and happy sellers. By July, prices had risen about 20% and inventory started to pick up. The government shutdown pretty much brought real estate to a halt in September and carried on through October. The market picked up again in November and the year finished strong.
For me, 2013 was a great year. I joined Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty, hired a new assistant and had another record year (thanks to you!). With over $17M in sales, I closed nearly 65% more than I did the year before and am excited to see what happens in 2014. I’m currently working on a new website (two actually) that should help you learn more about the market, the different buildings/floor plans/districts and it will have a MUCH better property search function. It will also have a lot of videos and other features to help you explore downtown and see things that other sites like Zillow (and my competition) don’t have.
Personally, a lot of great things happened as well…I “got” another niece, I went to several amazing weddings, I got to do some traveling and I even got a puppy. All in all, it’s been a great year. I won’t get too sentimental, but I want to thank everyone that’s been a part of my life – personally and professionally.
I’m excited about the new year and wish you the best. Happy New Year!
