SanDiegoFoodBank-new-logoWindermere Signature Properties and I are hosting a food drive for the San Diego Food Bank.  Currently, there are about 483,000 people in San Diego County who live at, or near the Federal Poverty Level.  According to the SD Food Bank, “over 70% of these individuals are children living in low-income households who face the threat of hunger daily.”  The Food Bank has been feeding San Diegans since 1977 and distributes over 15 million pounds of food a year.

This year, the SD Food Bank has been feeding over 70% more people per month than in 2008.  If you are able to donate, please come by our office at 560 First Ave, San Diego, 92101 and drop off what you can.  Here’s a list of the items needed most:

  • canned or dried fruits
  • canned vegetables
  • dried beans, rice and cereal
