Brian Malarkey and DJ Donald Glaude

Hope Through Health, an NPO that aims to “promote health as a human right,” is hosting a charity event at The Bristol Hotel on Saturday April 18^th, 2009. The event will be co-sponsored by Econation and PLAY Concierge and will be hosted by Top Chef finalist and Oceanaire Restaurant executive chef, Brian Malarkey.

The event, “An Evening for HOPE,” will have a hosted bar, hosted oyster and seafood bar(prepared by Brian Malarkey), hors d’oeuvres and music spun by the world renowned, DJ Donald Glaude. Some of San Diego’s finest will be in attendance and it will be a great place to meet new people, network, have fun and donate to a great cause. There will be several items being auctioned off, including Taylor Made golf clubs, spa packages, jewelry and more.

Hard Rock comes to San Diego

Hardrock Almost a year ago, the Hard Rock hotel opened its doors in Downtown San Diego. This condo-hotel development has been a huge success and while few people realize there’s a condo side to it, current owners are happy and excited to own. With huge names like Nobu, Rande Gerber and Hard Rock, how can you go wrong?

San Diego Balboa Theatre

Balboa theater Balboa Theatre, named after Vasco Nunez de Balboa, was originally built in 1924 for a mere $800,000 by the Balboa Building Company. After going through some changes and being renamed in 1930, to the El Teatro Balboa, the United State Navy took it over in the early 1940s to house sailors. Then after just escaping demolition, the City of San Diego finally deemed the theater a local historical building in 1972.
