Blogging is Like Dating

Without any introduction, here’s what I mean….

1. Hard to Get

The method in which one pretends not to be interested, or at least less interested in the other person, as they really are.  Actions related to this method may include, but are not limited to: not calling someone who’s number you got for several days, letting the other person acknowledge your presence before you acknowledge them, maintaining limited communication with the other person and not showing too much interest.

Denny Oh: “I AM a good blogger!”

Ive been in real estate for about 4 years now and am always looking for new ideas on how to improvelearning new marketing strategies, better ways to stay in touch with clients, how to structure my time, etc.  When I first started out, I was in my offices mentoring program for about 6 months and then shortly after that, I joined a top ranking team and continued to gain valuable training.  Along the way, Ive also attended several of the ever popular Tom Ferry, Brian Buffini, Zig Ziglar and Joe Schmoe seminars.  I even signed up with the Brian Buffini coaching program, but stopped after about 8 months or so.

PdaNet for Treos

As a Realtor, I like many of you, am on the run a lot and dont always have the luxury of being at my office. And in a time where a 5 minute response time is 5 minutes too long, I depend on my phone and my laptop. And while we all have problems with technology, the fact is, we cant live without it. What would you do if you had no cell phone? Forget the PDA functions, I mean just the capability of sending and receiving calls from virtually anywhere you want!

I own a Treo 700p and have had my fair share of ups and downs with it. I could go on and on about my problems, but this post is about an application called PdaNet. There are several sites you can download it from, but the only one Ive tried and can vouch for is by June Fabrics.

Treo 700 and Cell Phone Company Tips

TemperI recently came across a blog that Lani Anglin, of R.E. Revealed, posted and I know we can all relate to it.  Lani wrote about an experience she had with her cell phone and Sprint’s customer support – rather, lack of support.  As I read it, I immediately grew tense and thought about the battle I’ve had with Verizon over that last decade or so and wanted to share my tips.

A Day in the Life of my 3.83 Years in Real Estate – Part 1

As a kid who went to a university that primarily focused on science and engineering, that didnt even have a business program at the time, I have no idea why I went there to study marketing. As it turns out, it was one of the best decisions of my life. It was in college that I met some of my closest friends and found out that I wanted to become a Realtor.

2 Months with the Aliph Jawbone

Aliph_jawbone_bluetooth_headsetIf youre like me, you spend a lot of time on the phone and being able to actually hear the person youre speaking to is important to you. Im a Treo fan and have had my Treo 700p for about a year or so now (previously owned the 650p until I dropped it on the concrete floor, during my friends bachelor party). And while its by no means perfect (lack of memory, it freezes on me daily,

Generation X – Caution: Read Instructions Before Use

iPods. Treo 700p. Torents. Guitar Hero. Jager Bombs. Flash Drives. Wikipedia. Google Earth. Rehab(not the AA kind). 802.11a/b/g/n. SMS/MMS.

If you just read this and have no idea what Im talking about, then chances are, youre not part of my generation. What is my generation? Well, depending on who you ask, having been born in 1980, Im a Generation Xer. The technical definition is those who were born immediately after the Baby Boomers. The exact end date (roughly 1980 “ Generation Y or the Millenials coming after us) for this generation is debatable, but thats not the point. The point is, is that with approximately 49 million text messaging, Bluetoothing, pho-hawk wearing, DVRing, Blackberry multitaskers, all you pre-Gen Xers need to adapt.
