The Harbor Club is one(actually two) of downtown San Diego’s most iconic buildings. The elegant black and brown towers at the south end of the Marina District are undeniably unique. And while most people know the Harbor Club of its larger condos, I want to point out the overlooked one bedrooms that they have to offer.

A friend of mine just sent me a link to an extremely discounted offer to join Fit Athletic Club in the downtown San Diego, Diamond View Tower building. Fit Athletic Club is one of the best fitness centers in the downtown San Diego area and they’re offering 39 day passes for $39. You do have to use them by 5/12/10, but that seems to be the only catch – but check it out yourself as I’m not associated with any part of this deal(I just wanted to share it with you). The temporary membership does include 2 hours of parking per visit which is a huge plus. I just signed up myself, so we’ll see how it goes. Hurry though, this deal ends in about 11 hours!

Here are a few quick updates. If you have questions about any of these projects, or others, feel free to contact me at 858-243-2092 or denny@sandiegoh.com.
The following updates are based on the San Diego Union Tribune’s April 26th, 2009 edition.
Pacific Gateway – This is the Navy Broadway complex, located just south of Broadway, between Pacific Hwy and North Harbor Drive. According to the UT, the $1.7 billion project should have all it’s legal issues resolved by the end of the year. There was no indication as to when construction would actually begin, but my guess is not until at least 2011.

Downtown San Diego’s newest condo highrise is the Sapphire Tower. This building is located at 1262 Kettner Blvd and is in the Columbia District of downtown San Diego. Sapphire Tower has surprisingly great views! Having walked through the condos, I was able to see most floorplans and vantage points.
This Centurion Properties highrise offers a welcomed change from the typical Bosa condo layouts. Located just to the north east of The Grande condos and to the south east of Bosa’s Bayside, Sapphire Tower still gets great, unobstructed water views. The highrise sits right in between the to towers and looks right out onto the bay. Sapphire Tower also has great city views to the north, east and south.

Sort of. According to a recent article in the San Diego Daily Transcript, San Diego’s Lindbergh Field was North America’s “busiest single runway commercial service airport” for 2008 and that 18.3 million travelers came through last year – a new record.

San Diego is one of America’s most visited cities – big surprise, right? With our perfect weather, friendly people and incredible landmarks, San Diego is a great place to visit. The problem however, is that more people want to come visit, but can’t – we lack the hotel and convention space to accommodate the demand.

Almost a year ago, the Hard Rock hotel opened its doors in Downtown San Diego. This condo-hotel development has been a huge success and while few people realize there’s a condo side to it, current owners are happy and excited to own. With huge names like Nobu, Rande Gerber and Hard Rock, how can you go wrong?

Are you wondering what that little white and blue card is, that all those people are putting into the parking meters? Are you tired of carrying coins around when you’re going Downtown? Well if you haven’t figured it out already, you can buy parking meter cards.

A while back, I posted a blog about the Downtown San Diego Quiet Zone Act which outlined it’s time frame. For those of you who want to know more about what’s going on and when, you can read more about it on the San Diego Quiet Zone website.
