If you’re in San Diego this weekend, please keep in mind that the San Diego Rock’n’Roll Marathon is going on and many of the roads/freeways will be closed. The 5K is on Saturday and is mostly thought North Park, Hillcrest and Normal Heights. Sunday is the big day and the race will extend from Mission Bay to Normal Heights and down to Downtown. With so much proposed development in Little Italy and the Columbia Districts, it’s no surprise that the new Savina high-rise is getting a lot of attention. After all, it’s the newest building in Downtown San Diego, it’s affordable and it’s in a great location (corner or Kettner Blvd and Ash St). As a downtown real estate expert, I’m always talking to people about how the market is doing, what’s being built, where’s the market going and everything else you can think of. In short, I think Downtown San Diego is the best place you can invest in San Diego and Savina is one of the best options. Bosa just released info on how they’re going to prioritize condo sales for Savina. As they typically do, they’re going to offer units to their “friends and family” first. After this smallish group selects their units, Bosa will open up the sales to “Loyalists” – these are the people who have purchased directly from Bosa in the past (not resales, but new construction buyers).
