I just listed a cool loft in the Alta building. It’s an 820 sqft, north east corner loft, with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The unit is a large open floor plan with a second level that over looks the rest of the condo. Downstairs also has a den/bedroom area that’s tucked away from the main living room area. The upstairs is a large loft that can be used as a bedroom, office, or lounge area.
Alta is located at 575 Sixth Avenue and was built by Anka Development. Alta has a pool, spa, gym, recreation room and guest parking spaces. The building also has 11,000 sqft of retail space on the ground floor, which is occupied by CVS. Many people like Alta because it has a very sleek, cool look to it. The kitchen cabinets, backsplash and countertops are very clean looking and difference from most other downtown San Diego condo highrises. The Alta highrise is close to the historic Gaslamp District and plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and other attractions.
As downtown San Diego grows, most of the development will be to the east, increasing the values and demand for East Village condos. I believe that East Village, on a percentage basis, will increase in value more than anywhere else downtown.
