Cheap Penthouse at Acqua Vista Condos in Downtown San Diego

Acqua Vista isn’t really known for it’s quality construction, highend finishes, or for it’s penthouses. Instead, I’ve always seen this downtown San Diego highrise as the entry level highrise. Acqua Vista is a 17 story(really 18 since the 17th floor units are two stories) dual tower highrise built by K. Hovnanian. The condo building is located in downtown’s Little Italy and offers some incredible water and city views.
Acqua Vista was built in 2004 and has 382 condos in the entire building. There is a north and south tower, which are connected by a midrise, which contains the rooftop pool. The unit that I’m writing about today, is an impressive 2,204 sqft, 2 story, 3BR/2.5BA penthouse. Despite the fact that this might not be the most breath-taking highrise, this penthouse is far from entry level. It’s located on the north west corner of the north tower and sits on the 17th and 18th stories. This condo has incredible, unobstructable city and bay views. This downtown San Diego penthouse has a north, west and southern exposure.
The condo has 19′ high ceilings and multiple patio spaces. Priced at 385 $/sqft, this is an amazing deal. Condos exactly like this one were sold from the developer back in 2005 for $1.6 million! If you want a lot of space with a great view, this Acqua Vista penthouse may be your answer. This is a bank owned condo and I doubt it will last long.
